Avengers Academy lets you build various types of buildings around your campus. Some (like S.H.I.E.L.D. H.Q. or The Quinjet Hangar) are uncovered as you explore the timefog; others (like Avengers Stadium or The Robo Dojo) are available to buy for Credits in the Store. Most buildings let your characters preform actions to fulfill quest requirements, and most can be leveled up 2 times to allow even more character interactions. Van Dyne's Outfits is unique in that it is currently the only building that does neither—instead, it acts as a secondary store for buying new character outfits for Shards and Credits.
