Wielder of the Ebony Blade, The Black Knight, aka Dane Whitman, is the antagonist of the British Invasion event and is a character you could recruit to your academy during the British Invasion event and Avengers Under Siege Event. His recruitment quest is Ancient Wisdom. His Mission Board Quests can be found here.

Requirements

British Invasion Event

• Level 6 (to start event)
• 100 Chalices (earned by fighting the Black Knight), and defeat Black Knight in combat 5 times

Avengers Under Siege Event

• 1 chalice (drops from battling Carnage)
• 1,500 Credits

Thor: Ragnarok Event

• Ragnarok Resistance Crate, 55 shards

Upgrades

Each time Black Knight is upgraded, he gives +10% on Mission Board Quests.

Dane has fair skin, blond and brown hair in a mohawk, and brown eyes. He has an earring on his right ear.

Rank Appearance

Black Knight's Rank 1 outfit is a short-sleeved black and blue jacket over a black t-shirt with a red hawk symbol in it. He wears loose black shorts with a large black belt and black boots. He also wears a fingerless black and red glove on his right hand.

Black Knight's Rank 3 outfit is red, blue, and black armor with shoulder pads, black and gold helmet, black pants with a gold stripe on each leg, black belt, and black boots. There is a red hawk symbol on his chestplate.

Black Knight's Rank 5 outfit is a full suit of black, blue, red, and gold armor, with a brown cape, and the Ebony Blade slung across his back.

Story

When the Ebony Blade took control over the Black Knight, he was used to wreak havoc in Europe and capture Captain Britain and Union Jack. When the Black Knight went to Avengers Academy to supply more power for the Ebony Blade, the Academy students tried to stop him.

The Academy students fought and freed him from the Black Knight's curse. He later became a student at Avengers Academy.
